Lake Martha Association Meeting

June 10, 1992 7:00P.M.

Minutes

Steve Hancock called the meeting to order at 7:45.

The treasures report was read by Rosie. Steve suggested paying back the $1,400 to the Lake association for the restoration before refunding money to individuals. We might need money to repair the rake boats. We decided to leave the $1,400 in the restoration fund until there are more people present to discuss it. We should have the treasure send a second notice to people who haven't paid the restoration fee.

OLD BUSINESS

Steve asked the Olsen's about storing the rake boats on their property in lieu of annual dues. They said 0. K. Roger motioned that at the time of parking them, we should have the motors worked on and give Jerry the first option of working on them and billing the association. Lance's seconded the motion and the motion carried. Gary will ask Jerry if he is interested.

The May 30th seminar was postponed because there weren't enough people. Lance and Gary Anderson will attend if possible.

Steve asked Del about attending a township meeting free of charge. He said no, he would have to charge.

Restoration update: Dave last secchi reading on June 7th at 1:30 p.m. was 16ft. Last year it was 4ft. The duckweed has been reduced. Ray's been getting calls from the state. They are watching the progress of the lake. Dave will call Ray about taking more readings for the state.

Sewer project: Bob said that the issue of treated effluent being pumped into the lake is a dead issue because Martha/Charlotte has no outlet. The township still wants to form a committee, but it would probably be a waste of time. The board is so disorganized that this project will probably never happen. Karen McDougall called during the meeting to tell us that they do not qualify for grant money and that she doesn't know where the project is going from here. She'll call Steve if a committee is needed.

NEW BUSINESS

Dave motion that we have the picnic at Beebe Lake again. Rosie's seconded. Motion carried. Dave will contact BB Lake Park. He'll try to get the weekend of August 15th 16th or the weekend before or after. Lance will contact someone about getting the park. Picnic games will be discussed at the next meeting .

Shauna is going to organize a flotilla party which will probably be the first weekend after the 4th of July. This will be discussed at the next meeting. The next meeting will be July 8th at the Bauer’s.

Laura motioned to adjourn, Lance seconded.
